WELCOME 2008!
A BLESSED AND HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of
you!
The Year 2007 has passed and we continue to look forward to better
days in 2008. No matter what the newspapers, TV, economists,
soothsayers, seers, fortune-tellers or psychics say, we Christians
believe that it will be another year of abundant blessings from the
Lord for all of us. Why, because our GOD is our loving Father who
knows our needs even before we asked Him. As He says in Jeremiah
29:11, “For I know what My
plans for you are, plans to save you and not to harm you, plans to
give you a future and to give you hope.”
And what tremendous blessing to start the New Year, than to have the whole Genesis Community march to Sunter last January 20, 2008 to witness and be part of a historical moment – the launching of The FEAST in Don Bosco Church. This is the very first time that The FEAST is held in Don Bosco Church in Sunter. This is the very first time that The FEAST is held in the whole of Jakarta. And this is the very first time that The FEAST is held in the whole of Indonesia.
The FEAST includes a time of Worship, a talk by Bro. Bo Sanchez on video and culminated with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. It will be held every Sunday morning at 9:30am. Bro. Bo’s talk is a series of eight (8) talks on How to Stop Bad Habit Now!
The Parish Priest, Fr. Noel Villafuerte, SDB, was present during the entire session. He was fully supported by Bro. Jojo Apolo, by the Don Bosco Choir and his parishioners. Our Senior Coordinator, Bro. Pete Lapid led the lively Worship.
It is our hope and fervent prayer that we will get enough support and interest to have The Feast also at St. Theresia Church. We believe that many people will be blessed by it.
